July 5-9 - At the CCE MAD Irish Week Karen will teach mid-day mini-classes in celtic crafts and pennywhistle. Full day options offer all Irish instruments and dance. Bethesda, MD MAD website or email Mitch Fanning at jmitchellf@yahoo.com.
July 11-16 - Karen will teach a half day class for Irish dulcimer and also in the children's program at the Catskills Irish Arts Week. A good turnout is important if there is to be a dulcimer program there. The program allows time to take a half day of whistle (cheap and easy), concertina or accordion (more expensive, harder), dancing and more! Realistically if you want to play in Irish sessions you need a back-up instrument for when there isn't room or your instrument isn't in tune. This camp allows you to do both!
